Another Obama Buddy with Tax Problems? This is UNREAL!

Kathleen Sebelius, President Obama's nominee to become Health and Human Services secretary had to amend three previous tax returns as a result of "unintentional errors."

I am beginning to feel really stupid about paying my taxes.....

Thanks for Nothin' Barney (Rubble)

I just wish this guy would crawl into a hole and never come out. But, Congressman (D) Mass, Barney Frank is at it again. Ever since the AIG bonuses fiasco, the federal government wants to get their claws into everyone.

In a little-noticed move, the House Financial Services Committee, led by chairman Barney has approved a measure that would, in some key ways, go beyond the most draconian features of the original AIG bill.

The new legislation, the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009," would impose government controls on the pay of all employees -- not just top executives -- of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government. It would, like the tax measure, be retroactive, changing the terms of compensation agreements already in place. And it would give Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner extraordinary power to determine the pay of thousands of employees of American companies.

I thought this was the land of the free and the home of the brave....not anymore.

Thanks for nothin' Barney.

Take That Bill Ayers.....Keepin' it Real at Naperville North

The left-wing, silver-spooned, domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers is no longer welcome to speak with students at Naperville North. The following notice was released this morning via Talk203:

NAPERVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 203
Message sent - 3/30/2009 Ayers visit to NNHS canceled

The appearance by Dr. Bill Ayers at Naperville North High School next week has been canceled.

On Friday, it was announced through a Talk203 email that we were reviewing the decision to invite him and that we were also exploring the possibility of moving the appearance to another venue. Initially, many people were upset about his appearance in a school building, even though it was to have been with a select group of students with required parental permission. Several people offered worthy suggestions about how to make the event more meaningful by concurrently inviting someone that would provide an equally strong opposing viewpoint.

Over the weekend, however, it became clear that this issue was not really about where Dr. Ayers was speaking, but that he was speaking at all. Each day, the level of emotion and outrage has seemed to increase, along with the number of emails and phone calls received.

What was most unfortunate was that a few directed their anger toward an outstanding high school and at a well-regarded, award-winning teacher who encourages students to think for themselves.

While parents and others have written urging us to continue with the event because they want students exposed to diverse viewpoints, Dr. Ayers’ appearance has clearly become a “lightning rod,” both inside and outside the District 203 community, because of his past actions.

It is clear that any value to our students would be lost in such a highly-charged atmosphere, and that any debate of issues or viewpoints would be overshadowed by media coverage and anger over the event itself.

We have no HOPE for Homeowners....

Remember the HOPE bill that passed last summer to protect homeowners from losing their homes through foreclosure?

Here's a small refresher: The bill was largely orchestrated by Sen. (D - Conn.) Chris Dodd with the intent to rescue many homeowners that were falling behind on payments by providing them the wherewithal to restructure and refinance their loans. Congress made $300 billion of taxpayers' money available to back these loans. The government estimated that the program would benefit as many as 400,000 families.

(Side Note in cased you missed it: Dodd is the same senator that mysteriously left out language preventing the government the ability to claw back the AIG bonuses and received a VIP loan from Countrywide via "Friends of Angelo").

Anyway, the tally is in. Drum roll please........

HOPE has officially prevented only ONE (1) foreclosure.

Nope, that's not a typo, only ONE.

And Now for Something Completely Different....

If you are near the vicinity of Oakdale, California this Monday, you may want to stop by the Annual Testicle Festival, where diners can "have a ball" - a mouth full of bull balls that is.

Bill Ayers.....Not in my Backyard!

Noted domestic terrorist, Bill Ayers, has cultivated an army of minions while teaching at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
One of these good little soldiers, Kermit Eby, was hired at Naperville North High School (IL), and unsurprisingly, has invited his mentor and savior, Ayers, to be a guest speaker.

To put it bluntly, many folks in Naperville aren't too happy about having Ayers teaching in their "own backyard." It has stirred up so much animosity, that the school district issued the following statement:

NAPERVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 203
Message sent - 3/27/2009
Statement regarding proposed Ayers visit to NNHS

We have received numerous emails and phone calls regarding the proposed visit of UIC professor Dr. Bill Ayers to speak with Naperville North High School students next month, with permission from their parents. While we firmly believe in exposing students to a wide variety of speakers and opinions, offering them the chance to experience different viewpoints and the opportunity to hone their critical thinking skills (one of the tenants of our mission), please know that we would never invite anyone who advocates violence. Our understanding is that Bill Ayers does not, although this point is being actively debated by several who have contacted us.

In addition, administrators from other school districts who have heard his presentation to students, have indicated that Ayers focuses on students being involved in social justice. Given the interest this has stirred in the community, and the strong emotion and anger that is being expressed, we are currently reviewing this decision and are also exploring options for changing the venue.

For those who have expressed concern over funding this, it should be noted that Dr. Ayers was never being paid for this visit. Once a decision has been made, we plan to update parents of Naperville North students on this issue via Talk203.

Alan Leis, Superintendent of Schools Naperville School District 203

The tone of this letter suggests that the reaction by the parents and community is palpable and teetering on the edge.
They are indeed worried about young minds being mislead and warped by someone who set bombs in the U.S. with the intent to kill as well as instructed others to "kill your parents."
I wonder if anyone is going to lose their job over this? Naaaaaa...that's practically impossible if you are part of the teacher's union.

This One Speaks for Itself

This was NOT the Change we were looking for....

Time and time again, Obama made promises to the American people during his campaign regarding Change We Can Believe in - getting rid of pork barrel politics, balancing the budget, curtailing our government spending, safeguarding taxpayer dollars, and seeing middle class America benefit more than the upper crust.

Now a couple of months into his administration, we are seeing how he paid "lip service" to these folks so he could get their vote.

Another One Bites the Dust

I hope someone is keeping a tally of how many Obama appointees have fallen out of contention for his "positions" within his administration.

But, yet another one bites the dust:

President Obama's nominee, Jon Cannon, for U.S. EPA's second highest post abruptly pulled out of the Senate confirmation process today because of an investigation into the nonprofit group where he once served on the board of directors.

Is anyone associated with this administration clean?

Notre Dame Scandal Part II

Ahhhh, the restless Catholics are gaining supporters regarding Obama's commencement speaking engagement at Notre Dame. The petition results urging the university's president to rescind the invitation are growing exponentially....

...as Touchdown Jesus continues to weep.

Oooooooo...I'm Quakin' in my boots

While getting grilled by reporters, Obama tries to upgrade his status to alpha dog from omega by engaging in an icy stare at a CNN reporter.

I wonder if after the press conference, he peed to mark his territory in front of the teleprompter....

The GREAT 2009 Parking Meter Revolt of Chicago, Illinois

This will someday be in our history books, my friends - The Great 2009 Parking Meter Revolt of Chicago.

Ever since Chicago Mayor Daly privatized the city's parking meters and rates skyrocketed, the people of Chicago are saying NO MORE (or NO MAS!).

Cuba is lookin' pretty good right now...

Why isn't anyone talking about this - President Barack Obama's 3.55-trillion-dollar budget plan will leave the United States with a worse budget deficit than Cuba,?

This is worse than some measly bonuses at AIG - we are talking about the Obama BANKRUPTING the US of A!

The VOICE of AIG

It's all over the news, blogosphere, facebook, emails.....the letter of resignation by the AIG executive.

They are all going John Galt.....

Quit Knocking on my door!

Perhaps it's my own fault for living in a rather "democratic" town filled with million dollar homes, but I still never asked to be subjected to the Obama Army that came a-knockin' on my dollar this Saturday afternoon.

Even though the campaign has ended (or has it?) and over 11 weeks into his presidency (repeat - he is the president), Obama unleashed his minions to the masses this weekend, going door to door for signatures and pandering others to support his New Socialism which is being indoctrined to the American people. Unfortunately, I have a firsthand account of this "I am the president trying to delude people into supporting my Marxist-ideas campaign tactic."

I was one of the unlucky ones to have my doorbell rang on Saturday, making my dogs bark un-controllably (they could smell the Obama stench). So, I went to the front door to greet my neighbor, who proceeded to ask for my signature for Obama's education, health care, energy, blah blah blah reform. So they could send the petition to Congress (not certain what the signature was really going to accomplish).

I politely told him, "You know, I'm gonna take a pass on this one." And slyly stuck in, "but, good luck with getting your signatures." As I walked back inside I said to myself, "you'll NEVER get one from me..."

Obama's Policies Even Anger the Planet

Even the Earth is angry about Obama's socialist policies, especially the state of Alaska. Yesterday Alaska's Mount Redoubt volcano erupted five times overnight, sending an ash plume more than 9 miles into the air in the volcano's first emissions in nearly 20 years.

I'm afraid to ask, but "what's next?"

Birds of a Feather, Flock Together.

As a child my parents always said, "birds of a feather, flock together" which even transcends into the corporate and political realms.

This is a fundamental component of the government's acquiescence by allowing the big banks to continue to operate after they have created a financial whirlwind. Why can't we just wipe the slate clean and jail the SOBs who put our country in this financial mess? No one should be spared - everyone including the top dogs making the TOXIC decisions (bundling and selling loans without proper due diligence) to the guy who fraudulently took out the NINJA mortgage.

The answer gets a little sticky, you see, because Geithner and Obama seem to have the same friends at the Big Banks that need the bailouts.

So instead of getting rid of the poor decision makers, the American taxpayer is on the hook for their toxic mess (by effectively guaranteeing 90% of a toxic asset) in addition to the TARP bail out.

Now that's the Obama WAY!

Notre Dame, where have your morals gone?

As one of the "supposed" leading Catholic institutions of higher education in the country, the University of Notre Dame appears to have laid a big, fat egg on its face. The Catholic church's (including Notre Dame's) staunch stance against abortion has been turned upside down by announcing that Obama will speak at its commencement address this year.

With Obama's record of infanticide and history of supporting abortion until the 9th month of pregnancy, the Catholics and Notre Dame students and alumni should be outraged.

Or Notre Dame should be dead to them.

What's so funny Obama?

The stock market is tanking, 529 accounts are a joke, foreclosures are through the roof, unemployment is at an all-time high in 20 plus years and is rising, yet Obama can't stop laughing, giggling, and smiling, especially when confronted about the current economic climate.

Honestly, during Obama's 60 Minutes interview yesterday with Steve Kroft, he continuously laughed and chuckled several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.

Finally Kroft had enough and retorted: "You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asked at one point.“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft said.

Or in other words: Is this guy high?

Obama's Katrina Moment has Arrived....So Soooon!

It's like a circus at the New York Times - you know, the liberal newspaper that was the campaign manager for the Obama campaign. Well, it looks like they are trying to "save face" with the American public. Can they really be questioning if Obama's Katrina moment has arrived?

Oh, Yes they Can!

Yes it did!

Bend over AIG, the Federal Government is Probing you...

The folks at AIG are nervous and some are fearful of their lives. The government is going after them with their new tax plan - the feds taxing the bonus at 90% - this doesn't include the state and local taxes on top of that.

What kind of tax precedent are we setting? Not a very good one.

Look who didn't do their homework....AGAIN?

Ahhhh, now the government finally figures out that 13 firms which received federal bailout monies from TARP (i.e., our taxpayers dollars) owed $220 million in unpaid federal taxes combined.

How was this not discovered prior to receiving the funds, especially since each firm had to sign an agreement stating that they owed no back taxes to the federal government?

Who is running the show here, again?

AIG bonus clawbacks...Naaa the Government Screwed themselves on that one...

If Senator (D) CT, Chris Dodd doesn't get re-elected in 2010 due to his VIP "Friends of Angelo" mortgage scandal with Countrywide, he really shouldn't be re-elected due to his drafting of the current legislation provision which did not allow the federal government to clawback certain bonuses paid from TARP funds, especially bonuses paid from AIG.

Mind you, Dodd wrote this provision as a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. This Act of Treason against the U.S. government and its people should get him at the very least kicked off the committee and at the very most, tried for treason!

Who is running the show here? And what is Obama going to do about it?

Hey, Obama...Worry about the Economy NOT your NCAA Picks!

Not a big Duke fan or a big Coach K fan, but you gotta love this one. Coach K is slamming Obama for worrying about his NCAA picks versus spending his time fixing the economy.

"Somebody said that we're not in President Obama's Final Four, and as much as I respect what he's doing, really, the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said from the Blue Devils' first-round site in Greensboro, N.C.

Rock on Coach K. Rock on!

Dissing Laura Bush? Where's the Class Mrs. Obama?

During Laura Bush's tenure in the White House as the First Lady, she participated in and spear-headed many philanthropic projects. Many First Ladies (Nancy Reagan, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush, Laura Bush) have even worked across party lines with previous First Ladies to continue their efforts.

Unfortunately in the short tenure during Michelle Obama's stint as first lady (please note that she has not yet earned the capital letters in First Lady), she has taken certain steps to denigrate the past efforts of Laura Bush.

Why dis Laura Bush?

In a nutshell: You can take the girl out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the girl.

A.I.G. Bonus = Obama Bonus!

Something funny happened on the way to the Treasury Department. They gave A.I.G. lots of tax payer money. A.I.G. gave away substantial sums of that same taxpayer money to domestic and foreign banks. Then A.I.G. decided to pay out some significant bonuses (approximately $165 million), which the Treasury thinks it can "claw back." But, if that is the case, they should also be asking Obama to repay his share of the A.I.G. bonus ($101,332 to be exact.)

The hypocrisy never ends.....

Chicago Tea Party.

At the end of February, Chicago held its First Tea Party at the Daly Center Plaza. To show their disdain against the bailouts and stimulus plan, the group marched to Michigan Avenue via upper Wacker Drive. As one of the first Tea Party's held in the U.S., the crowd was between 200 to 300 people. I should know, here are my pics.

Keep up the Great work!

Maxine...I can't get enough of you....

As if yesterday's video wasn't enough, California (D) Rep. Maxine Waters has made the papers today for her "help" in OneUnited Bank while being a member of the House Financial Services Committee. Get a load of this from today's Wall Street Journal:

Ms. Waters and her husband have both held financial stakes in the bank. Until recently, her husband was a director. At the same time, Ms. Waters has publicly boosted OneUnited's executives and criticized its government regulators during congressional hearings. Last fall, she helped secure the bank a meeting with Treasury officials.

Her involvement isn't new. Ms. Waters has detailed her financial ties in a series of federal disclosure forms and has been vocal in public in support of the bank. Those ties, however, have received little public attention. Nor is it well known how the influential lawmaker has over the years acted to support the bank and its executives.

Seriously, read the entire article. Maxine and her husband made quite a bit of $cash$ from being involved in this bank.

It is obvious that Maxine is more interested in her own pocketbook vs. the public's well being. She isn't acting on behalf of the people, but on behalf of her CASH.

So it begs the question: When are we going to wise up and start voting these folks out of office? (LISTEN UP CALIFORNIANS!) Better yet, when will they be tried for treason and fraud?

Has Socialism Come to America?

In the past 7 weeks, we, as Americans have been introduced to a new form of government being implemented by a "liberal president." Many may not have seen this new entitlement wave coming or anticipated the government taking over industries within our private enterprises.

But, if we were actually listening, California (D) Representative, Maxine Waters, was giving us the blueprint of the Obama Administration before he even won the election.

Watch with pride, Americans, watch with pride.......as we are headed towards a Venezuelan Government, a la Hugo Chavez!

Cap and Trade...Cap and Trade....lalalala....

Sounds like a children's song, "Cap and Trade... cap and trade...." but it's really not that sweet. In fact, if Obama's new budget proposal for energy passes, it will be more like a doomsday scenario for Americans.

The American Energy Alliance (AEA) gives us the details: Obama budget includes a $646 billion tax on gasoline, diesel, natural gas, and coal. Washington’s spin doctors dubbed this massive new tax “cap and trade”. Cap and trade amounts to a tax on 85 percent of the energy we use. It will result in higher gasoline prices, higher electricity prices, and higher costs for American businesses—many of which are already struggling to keep the lights on. In short, the President’s budget proposal is an outline of his plan to force Americans to pay more money to buy less energy.

If you don't understand what the AEA is saying, to put it plainly: With this new energy proposal, Obama is going to rape and pillage the already shrinking paycheck of the average citizen via increased energy costs, as well as add more Americans to the employment lines due to increased energy costs for business.

Thanks for nothing Obama. Keep up the good work!

The OBAMA Bait and Switch

I couldn't have said it better myself, so I won't even try. Charles Krauthammer eloquently details the Bait and Switch tactics of Obama. If you are even semi-paying attention to what Obama is saying, its riddled with lies, lies and more lies about the current cause of the credit crisis and the solutions.

And, folks, it's not going to get any better.

Was this part of the MASTER PLAN?

Now I am all for conspiracy theories, but this one does have legs on it. Is Obama intentionally and single-handedly (albeit with a little help from his friends - Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd) tanking the economy?

Honestly, this isn't as far-fetched as you may think. A quick look at the facts reveals the following: raising taxes on business and entrepreneurs, hiring tax cheats, a plummeting stock market, the passage of the porkulus bill, a proposed a carbon cap-and-trading scheme, the destruction of charitable contributions - and I haven't even named everything. Plus, Obama has seemed to have pulled it off almost flawlessly over the last 6 weeks since he came into office.

Preserving Earmarks in this day and age?

Perhaps the Dems mean well, but preserving over 8,000 new earmarks (i.e., pork) in the new spending bill is effectively highway robbery of the American people.

But, hey, it's great to see that some Dems are standing up and are urging Obama to veto this bill.

"Democrats Evan Bayh of Indiana and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin said they will vote against the bill; both urged Obama to veto it.
"There's just a disconnect between what people are having to go through in their daily lives — tightening their belts, economizing where they can — and what they see the government is doing," Bayh said in an interview. "I just think it's tone deaf and, substantively, we do need to get the deficit under control."

I guess there are some VOICES of REASON on the Hill.

Obama is starting to tick off his own party....

Obama has been in office a little over a month and now he has his own party calling for his blood. The Dems are ticked off about his proposal to limit itemized tax deductions for high earners. I mean, really, Obama wants charities to take a hit? What about all of those groups fighting cancer, or animal shelters looking to feed the cats and dogs? Are poor people going to fund those causes with more money or is the government going to step in? Of course not! Perhaps, the Dems are starting to "grow a sack" and speak out against these new tax proposals that will effectively put greater limits on the tax deductibility of charitable donations by high earners. And in the process destroy charities......what is the new administration thinking?
